Andrea leads MedHealth’s clinical service, with particular expertise in pelvic and gynaecological ultrasound. Her experience includes assessing fibroids, ovarian cysts, PCOS, adenomyosis, suspected endometriosis and post-menopausal symptoms.
Having performed more than 80,000 ultrasound examinations, Andrea brings a careful, sensitive approach: listening to your concerns, examining thoroughly and explaining findings clearly.

PGDip Head and Neck Ultrasound with Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology
Roma specialises in detailed ultrasound assessment of the thyroid, lymph nodes, salivary glands and other head and neck concerns. She brings more than a decade of medical imaging experience and is a Clinical Lead Specialist Sonographer at Queen Alexandra Hospital.
Her NHS practice includes rapid-access neck clinics, alongside clinical audit, research and education. At MedHealth, she provides focused diagnostic thyroid and neck examinations.

Mark specialises in ultrasound assessment of muscles, tendons, joints and other soft-tissue structures. His diagnostic radiography background and postgraduate training support detailed examinations for pain, restricted movement and suspected injury.
At MedHealth, he combines focused musculoskeletal expertise with clear, clinically relevant reporting to help patients and their healthcare professionals understand the findings.

Echocardiograms at Portsmouth
Keli brings more than 30 years in healthcare, with extensive experience in NHS and community cardiac services. She has held senior clinical and leadership roles at University Hospital Southampton, InHealth Echotech and Xyla Elective Care.
At MedHealth’s Portsmouth clinic, she performs and reports adult echocardiograms, assessing heart structure, valves and pumping function. Her experience in audit, quality assurance and training supports a careful approach to every examination.

Clinically indicated rescans. Free for one year.
If a repeat ultrasound is clinically indicated following your MedHealth examination, we provide it without an additional scan fee for one year after the original examination.
Support when urgent findings need action.
If your scan identifies findings requiring urgent suspected-cancer assessment, we arrange a private GP consultation to discuss your results and an appropriate specialist referral where clinically indicated. The GP consultation may take place by telephone. MedHealth covers the GP consultation and referral costs.
Clear explanations. Clear next steps.
You receive a written report and clear information about any recommended further assessment. With your consent, we share relevant findings with the healthcare professionals involved in your care.
A suspicious ultrasound finding does not confirm cancer. Urgent suspected-cancer assessment is sometimes called a two-week-wait (2WW) pathway; a referral does not guarantee a specialist appointment within two weeks. NHS and private specialist waiting times vary.
Private GP support described here applies to findings requiring this urgent pathway. It is not a routine GP consultation included with every scan or health-check package. Specialist consultations, investigations and treatment are not included.
Clinical standards behind our promise
Our clinical practice is supported by professional policies, continuing development, clinical audit and peer review. Each clinician works within their qualifications, experience and specialist area. We explain your examination, seek your consent and discuss the limitations of ultrasound.
Our diagnostic sonographers are HCPC-registered. Keli is a British Society of Echocardiography-accredited specialist echocardiographer. CQC regulation relates to the service and is separate from an inspection rating.
Report arrangements depend on the examination. Echocardiogram results must be discussed with your GP.

The right specialist for your scan
Ultrasound covers many different areas of the body, and no practitioner should claim to specialise in everything.
Our examinations are allocated according to each sonographer’s qualifications, experience and defined area of practice. This means your scan is performed by a professional with relevant expertise in the area being assessed.
Time to listen
We do not believe patients should feel rushed. Your sonographer will discuss your symptoms and relevant medical history before carrying out a focused and detailed examination.
Clear explanations
Where clinically appropriate, your findings will be explained during your appointment. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and understand what the scan has shown.
Written reports and next steps
Your examination includes a written report that can be shared with your GP, consultant or another healthcare professional. Your clinician will explain how and when you will receive it. Echocardiogram results must be discussed with your GP.
Honest clinical guidance
Ultrasound is not the right investigation for every symptom. If we do not believe a scan is appropriate or likely to provide the answers you need, we will tell you honestly and advise you about the most suitable next step.
