Following your scan, you will receive:
- A specialist examination performed by an experienced, HCPC-registered sonographer
- Time to discuss the ultrasound findings seen during your appointment

- Guidance about whether medical follow-up should be considered
- A report you can share with your NHS GP, private GP or specialist
- Optional priority access to an experienced women’s health GP

MedHealth patients can request priority access to Dr Anna Davies at The Watermill Clinic in Wickham.
Dr Davies is a UK-trained GP with more than 15 years of clinical experience and particular expertise in women’s health, contraception, reproductive care and menopause.
She can consider your ultrasound findings alongside your symptoms and medical history, explain what they may mean for you and discuss the most appropriate next step.
Depending on your individual circumstances, this may include:
- Reassurance and clinical advice
- Discussion of treatment options
- Menopause or hormonal health support
- Private prescriptions where clinically appropriate
- Further investigations
- Referral to a gynaecologist or another specialist
- Ongoing review and follow-up
This means that if your scan identifies something requiring further attention, you have an optional route to an experienced doctor who can look at the complete clinical picture.
About Dr Anna Davies
Dr Anna Davies is an experienced private GP with a specialist interest in women’s health.
Her professional qualifications include:
- MBBS – Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery
- MRCGP – Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners
- DFSRH – Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare
- FRACGP – Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners
Dr Davies is a member of the British Menopause Society and is qualified to fit and remove contraceptive coils and implants.

Specialist ultrasound remains at the heart of your care
Your ultrasound examination, interpretation and report are provided by MedHealth Ultrasound.
Any subsequent consultation with Dr Davies is a separate, independent medical service provided by The Watermill Clinic. Dr Davies will make her own clinical assessment before recommending treatment, prescribing medication or arranging further investigation or referral.
There is no obligation to use The Watermill Clinic. You are always free to take your MedHealth report to your own NHS GP or another healthcare professional.
This clear clinical separation protects your freedom of choice while giving you convenient access to trusted follow-up care if you would like it.
How the pathway works

Book your MedHealth ultrasound
Choose the appropriate scan and book directly with MedHealth. A GP referral is not required.

Receive your results
Your sonographer will explain the findings and provide a detailed written report, usually on the same day.

Understand the next step
We will explain whether the findings are reassuring or whether further medical assessment should be considered.

Choose your preferred care
You can share your report with your own NHS GP, private GP or specialist. Alternatively, you can ask MedHealth about priority access to Dr Davies at The Watermill Clinic.

Do I need a GP referral to book a MedHealth scan?
No. Most MedHealth ultrasound examinations can be booked directly without a GP referral. If you are unsure which scan is appropriate, please contact us before booking.
Will Dr Anna Davies perform my ultrasound?
No. Your ultrasound will be performed and reported by MedHealth Ultrasound. Dr Davies provides a separate medical consultation when further clinical assessment is required or requested.
Do I have to see Dr Davies after my scan?
No. The pathway is entirely optional. You can share your MedHealth report with your NHS GP, an existing consultant or any other appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
Can Dr Davies review my ultrasound results?
Yes. During a private consultation, Dr Davies can consider your report alongside your symptoms, medical history and individual circumstances. She will then advise you about the appropriate next step.
Can Dr Davies prescribe treatment?
Following her own clinical assessment, Dr Davies may provide advice, recommend treatment, issue a private prescription or arrange further investigation or specialist referral where clinically appropriate.
Does an ultrasound finding always mean something is wrong?
No. Many ultrasound findings are benign, common or require monitoring rather than treatment. Your report will explain the findings and include an appropriate imaging recommendation where necessary.
Can MedHealth refer me directly to a gynaecologist?
Where a formal medical referral is required, this would usually be arranged by your NHS GP, private GP or another appropriately qualified medical practitioner. Your MedHealth report provides the clinical imaging information needed to support that assessment.
Where is The Watermill Clinic?
The Watermill Clinic is located in Wickham, near Fareham, Hampshire. Appointments with Dr Davies are booked separately from your MedHealth ultrasound appointment.
